While praying for a word from the Lord for this week I began to see by His Spirit. From the top of a hill I looked down into a valley, however, I could not see how far down the valley floor was for the thick fog that hovered above the ground, below the hill’s peek. Although I wanted to see how far down it went and what was down there, I also felt dread at the thought of knowing. What I envisioned to be there was nothing positive…dead animal bones, snakes and creepy sounds, void of God’s presence, a valley of death. Then the Lord began to bring about revelation… When we find ourselves in a valley, especially for an extended stay, it is common to consider that maybe we have done something wrong and that God has turned His back on us. We no longer hear His voice, then fear sets in. I know all about this place, for I have experienced this valley during different stages of life. The valley is where we feel alone and disregarded, achievements and successes appear to have been deterred, or worse, sabotaged by the enemy with little hope of revival, where everything in your life appears to have died. Here is where we feel hemmed in by the echoes of our own voices, and even the very thought of divine intervention triggers doubt. Been there? Ps. 23:6 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.” The LORD has a purpose in mind for every low and every high place we experience, and the revelation is this…there is only one way to higher ground, and that IS through the valley!! Fog represents a “gray” zone between reality and unreality, an uncertainty about the future and what it holds for us. In my vision, fog illustrates an image “preceding” breakthrough and great revelation, however, in the valley it is hard to see clearly for pain and doubt work to undermine the faith that the breakthrough is sure to come. 1 Cor. 13:12 MSG We do not yet see things clearly. We are squinting in the fog, peering through the mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We will see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing Him directly just as He knows us!! Then the hill…There are many scriptures that associate hills (high places) with pride and rebellion, however, my spirit attests to something different in the context of my vision. Hills represent a place where Yeshua meets with His children…us. Matthew 28:16 As for the eleven disciples, they proceeded into Galilee, to the hill where Jesus had arranged to meet them. Mark 3:13 Then He (Yeshua) went up the hill, and those whom He Himself chose He called, and they came to Him. John 6:3 Then Jesus went up the hill, and sat there with His disciples. Hills represent a place of encouragement, vision and clarity for new instruction and direction! Get us there LORD!! We declare… WE ARE COMING TO MEET YOU ON THE HILL TOP LORD!!!!!
This is what the Lord is saying today: “Walk on! Keep climbing!! I await you at the top!! Let praise be on your lips no matter the circumstances! Determine in your heart the truth…you are held safe within My Heavenly boundaries. I am bringing rise to a spirit of certainty and unshakable faith, 20/20 vision is yours in the Spirit realm. I am not a man that I should lie – I see where the enemy has tried to steal, kill and destroy you and what belongs to you – so TODAY I watch over My Word to perform it, and TODAY I perform it on YOUR behalf!!” “In my own valley experience,” says the Lord, “I outwitted the enemy as the nails were driven into my hands and feet, just before I willing gave up my life so that you could walk in freedom. Therefore, count your valley experience a joy, for I have made use of this season in your life to bring about innovative vision, a fresh anointing…As you walk out and up from this season and into the new give a “shout-out” for your testimony is sure to be a game-changer in the lives of the lost!!!” Wow!! Ps. 119:17 “It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.” “Know this, your pain, your trials and your journey through the valley I waste not, for I use all things to My benefit as to benefit you, My beloved, and the word of your testimony I use to benefit My Kingdom!! No way would I ever leave you or forsake you! Not ever!” I declare that TODAY you will find TREASURE where you stand, that you are reaching new heights in the Spiritual realm, new Power, for the Kingdom of God is within YOU!! There will come a time when you will look back and thank God for the journey through the valley for you will know that your faith chose to survive what it could not understand. Wherever you stand today, know that you stand in God’s Love. Blessings, Sherri (New Birth Training and Command Center)
